Unlike the Kavanaugh/Blasey Ford issue, it seems that too much adds up to the fact that something happened. The problem is that Biden and his team have both rhetoric and the media to help him. He also is getting fuel from colleagues in the House and Senate.
What do I mean?
Over the course of time, the idea of unwanted touching morphed from the definition of sexual harassment to the more modern sexual assault. Ms. Reade is not incorrect to use the term sexual assault if Biden did anything close to what is being represented.
Unfortunately, Biden is also not incorrect, technically, if and only if he is using the old definitions, in which case, at that time, would not yet have been considered sexual assault since that term was usually used for rape at that time.
While this court document is not binding as evidence, it would allow the media to confront Biden about what actually happened and, furthermore, if he ever even touched Ms. Reade. If he did, then it would allow reporters to ask what that contact looked like.
But they won't do that because it would make the Democratic party side look incomplete and as their goal is a victory over Trump, it would not help.
Couple that with prominent female lawmakers like Ms. Pelosi and Ms. Feinstein supporting Biden, and you have a muddled story because nobody is willing to take Biden to task on the specifics, which actually do exist in this situation.
Nobody is willing to pursue the full story, which is very wrong considering what is being presented.
