Short-term it probably will not affect anything. But long-term we might lose some athletes.

Lose them where? This is NAIA. The foreigners will go JUCO and the others will go D3 or D2.
Very few slow-twitchers are successful in football.
Just import more East Africans
Women have been slighted in life, since forever. This is a step forward for women everywhere! Enough of the 1900c white chauvinist men who have helped women to remain 2nd or even 3td class. It's all about to change, Mr. BIDEN WILL nominate a female (of color) for VP! Take that mouth breathers and knuckle dragging caucasians!
absolutely time for that! wrote:

Women in the USA have More rights than ALL The Mid East Countries and probably more than mot of the 54 African Countries as well, Japanese and SOUTH Korean Women are probably the only 2 Far East Countries where Women have more rights than American Women, Not Sure about South And Central America and The Caribean, But American Woman have more rights than Many Countries, So Blame EVERY Country that has less, before you blame the USA.
This is a move in the right direction because it will help the underrepresented gender, men have more/closer to enough spots since their numbers are offset by women in this sport. We're past the times when title 9 is needed to get women's teams at all and every university should be required to sponsor x sports/thousand students with men's and women's rosters always being equal.

Good lord, you are easily baited. Probably by a Trumpster getting the rest of you excited. Snowflakes abound.
I am much more worried about the effect it might have on the high school level.
Slow Twitch, Fast Twitch does not matter. There are many more slow-twitch athletes in football than in cross country if you go by total numbers. What you want are good athletes. How many cross country boys try volleyball and pole vaulting? It does not matter what their muscle composition is; they want to try everything that looks fun.
I was not thinking about gender equality. I am not against girls playing football. Both Cross Country and Track & Field seem to be losing good athletes to soccer, lacrosse, badminton, and tiddly-winks. Maybe the answer is to have these sports in the summer rather than interrupt school sports.
Even one of our own, Sir Sebastian Coe, is doing what he can to take away the 5 and 10!
This will give the softball players something to do in the off-season.
I don't see any distance people taking this on.
That said, it is D3, so who knows.

Long term, DIII could lose a few athletes to this, but overall, I don't think this will majorly effect women's xc. Outside of only 1-2 states, there isn't girls high school football and cross country athletes aren't really prime targets to convert to such an explosive sport, so more likely these teams will recruit from the few states that offer that sport to HS's and might try to get some sprinters or soccer players to convert to football.

You clearly don't know any women from South Korea. Well maybe some you paid...
Women have been under valued way too long in the Northern hemisphere. Primarily The United states of America and Canada. Time to switch the course. Who could possibly be against?

I am worried about our sport. We are already losing the 5 and 10 to Seb Coe's brilliant move with the Diamond League. King Football can just do what it wants. But I guess you are just going to go along and say that's just dandy!
Please look at the long-term effects this may have on our sport. It's only NAIA right now. In a few years, it might be DI, DII, and DIII. We've had quite a few sport revolutions over the years. Soccer, LaCrosse, Hockey, Cricket, Weight Lifting, Table Tennis, Cross Fit, Badminton, Racquetball, Ultimate Frisbee, are all exciting and new! You cannot even begin to name all the new sports!
Track & Field and Cross Country must be ready to do battle again and again, and again!
