Absolutely, I understand that completely, although the verdict is still out for me whether or not I'm simply crazy! :)
Once again, thanks for sharing your experience and the info about the antibody test. It's funny, but you hear so much about the testing not being available that you just think it's not available! I called up the Urgent Care based on your suggestion, and they have a non-FDA approved test. I drove on up there and my wife & I both got tested. We will know in a day or two what the results are. That simple. We're in Michigan.
FWIW, and bear in mind that I have not officially tested positive for anything, I started experiencing my symptoms around March 12th. I was on a mid-long easy run of 11.3 miles, and my heart rate shot up to 175...I was like "WTF is going on???" I wasn't struggling, as far as I could tell, but I was running slower than normal and didn't feel "right". I chalked it off to an issue with the watch. I ran a couple more easy runs that week and they all ended up in the 160 HR range. It freaked me out and I was feeling that things weren't right, so I decided to take a break from running. When it seemed that I wasn't able to shake these weird symptoms I was experiencing, I went to the Urgent Care on March 20th. I started feeling better the following day after receiving a shot & azithromycin.
I didn't try to run again until March 27th...it was OK, but heart rate still in the 150s at easy pace. In addition to this, I was working at home, and I consumed mass quantities of junk food throughout the day, allowing myself to get fat and lazy, so there is that to consider! I was still running periodically but definitely not pushing it. I'm definitely starting to feel like my old self now...my old self plus 6 or 7 lbs, that is! :) So, it's taken me about a month to really feel like I can start pushing things. If I hadn't hit the junk food so hard, I'd probably be in a better spot!
Also, I'm 47 years old, so not exactly a spring chicken, so there is that to consider, as well!!
Good luck!!!!!!
