I'm no fan of Salazar, but if Salazar tries to work this deal out with Schumacher, then that's for Salazar and Schumacher to deal with.
I don't see it as shady. Again it's racing. Had Salazar tried to script or get rid of Salel without Schumacher knowing, that might be different.
Keep in mind that Kipchoge's team got to include or not include anyone they wanted for his amazing time record.
Yes, people don't like Salazar. Yes, Salazar is an unethical man in many ways. But, honestly, nitpicking every decision Salazar made, especially when eventually it leads to a question of Solinsky vs. Rupp because of the coaches involved, does little to make a case for anything.
In this case it is better to leave that tidbit out because nothing that happened in Solinsky's race in Solinsky's case was anything other than an outstanding effort for an outstanding athlete.
If the 26:59 is all that Solinsky is known for, that is one heck of a performance to be known for.
It's like Phil Healy and her college comeback...
Or Michael Stember and his statement race in HS.
There's nothing more he needs. He has this.
Please don't cheapen it by attacking Alberto.
