Bug juice? LOL wtf
Bug juice? LOL wtf
I'm so sorry to hear that, I hope you find help in dealing with your night terrors and losses. To lose so much in such a short time is truly heartbreaking.
I have a couple but the caps broke when I fell on them during an ultra. Also to clarify, bug juice is the name of the kids juice . . . It’s not actually juice from bugs
A good counselor helps
September 20th - September 26th
Long run was one bottle and 3 gels. Didn't follow my Friday and Saturday long run nutritional meal strategy. Need to fix that. Very cold and in the 50-60s. Perfect weather.
Had a friend pace me on the bike, Wednesday had storms so I was on the treadmill in the AM.
I think this training cycle has tested me alot more than I expected it would. I'm really proud to have such a great coach and friends come along with me for it.
Give me 2-3 years, I'll break 2:30

Great progression over these past few months. It's helped me improve my own pacing/running as well.
I just randomly stubbled across this thread and let me say that I admire your work ethic, mental fortitude and consistency! Keep up the good work! With this type of mind set you'll definitely meet your sub 2:30 marathon goal. You are an inspiration to me and others that come across this training log. I'll remind myself when running gets tough for me I know you're out there grinding as well. Best of luck to you!
Thanks Jecht! I hope to share a beer with you in Columbus
Thanks for the comment man! I hope your training is going well and you can stay happy and healthy during your own journey!
Likewise!

Likewise, I'll get up early to get to the MIT tent and see everyone. YOU are one of the reasons why I've stuck it out and stuck with my training.
I’ll try to get there early to say hi and warm up. I’ll be wearing an orange tank top with race Penguin and pink shorts
September 27th - October 3rd
Last true long run. 2 Gels and a small 8oz bottle of water. Got really really sick afterwards. Slept alot, can't breathe through my nose. Probably just a cold, hope its nothing serious.
Took the next day to run indoors and wear a sweatshirt and trash bag, wrestling season taught me that sweating it out makes me feel better and be able to breathe. Probably no real science behind it but it works for me so oh well.
Nothing left to do but show up to Columbus. I threw the idea of what I can do to my coach but I jumped ahead of myself a bit. Keep my eyes on sub 2:50 and keep working down.

Thank you! I'll try to be there at 0600, at the MIT tent. I'll be wearing either a Cap City tee or a Cbus Marathon tee and black shorts.
Enjoying the taper and following the log!
Looks like you had a good Monster workout (22 miles) Saturday!
Feeling ready, nervous.

You got this. Meditation/yoga works for some runners.
Like you told me, trust in your training!
Yes sir, enjoying my job right now, and getting ready to go to BMT for the Air Force around January-March.
