just shows how the corrupt Mass State Pigs got nothin better todo, what with the Dunkin Donuts closed.
what does you living in Connecticut have to do with anything?
Is anybody running the Boston Marathon right now?
No reason why you can’t go run as long as you keep a distance from others....a lot of indoctrination in this thread, there ain’t shite they can do as long as you’re not out in traffic or doing 12” flybys.
Governor has urged people not to run. The local news of course went out and found one guy running the course but it was when it was dark out. Mabye it was some random guy for his morning run?
Of course I think there will be some people who run the full course.
Anyone who runs the course today is an a$$ wipe. So none of their selfish attitudes learned anything from 2013. Why risk the opportunity for anyone to need medical attention when hospitals are tied up big time? Do you forget, or were you too young, to realize that resources were stretched as they are now?
So Johnny braveheart is going to show the world what a toughie he is until the wheels come off and he needs help. ( I know, you'll never need help) Medical tents are filled to the brim every year. No tents today means off to the hospital. Can't you just set up a course to do your 26 and be satisfied? Can't you just see this through an historical lens and have it be part of your story in life? I did mine yesterday. All done. Who cares?
So much immaturity at a time where we should collectively be working to get the country going. But no, I am a civil libertarian whah whah. Your civil liberties really started disappearing after 9/11 but let's stress out first responders today to prove how tough we are.
Thank you proving that there are selfish a$$holes everywhere, even in the running community.
Actually most (all?) arraignments are now by video conference, not in the physical courtroom. So you can make an arrest, but he will not actually be transported to the courthouse. As a sergeant, you should know this.
If I were in Mass today I'd run the hell out of that course. Can't believe we have so many pu$$ies out there willing to give their freedoms. This is a free country, let's keep it that way.
Wejo, the point isn't that you can go run 26.2 miles somewhere else, the point is preventing thousands of people from trying to run on a course that isn't prepared/shut down for those people.
Also, BAA is a private organization. Are you trying to regulate the decision of a private organization? Who are you?
Agree. These masshole types and fake cops and husbands of cops should head back to England. Get out of here.

No one cares if you go run a marathon somewhere by yourself; they just don't want 500 morons clogging the roads at the same time. I can't believe you guys don't see why that would be a problem.

Oh, it's just a bunch of weenies parroting what they think is "patriotism".
I live on the course. I can't go for a run without going on the course, does that mean i'm not allowed to run today?

Anyone caught running on the Boston Marathon course tomorrow should be banned at the following levels:
- from participation in any future BAA events
- from participation in other local road races that have responsible RDs and can coordinate with BAA to get the names of arrestees
- from membership in USATF or any USATF affiliated club.
Also, I hope everyone who runs on the course tomorrow burns every piece of toast they make for the rest of their lives.
i live near the course in the 'ham. Am I not allowed to run in my neighborhood? If I do, should I be banned from BAA events? What exactly do they mean no running on the course? Is route 135 closed to pedestrians?

Did you watch the video? The guy was with his family and the starting line taking a selfie before starting to run THE course not on the course. It wasn't a random guy going for a run. In addition to have zero reading comprehension I guess you also have zero watching comprehension.

Yes you can.
I'm confused how some of you haven't come to terms with the reschedule/potential eventual cancellation.
Sometimes you don't get to run your goal race because of injury or act of God. You're going to run the course and wonder if you could've gone faster in the race (yes, obviously, please don't start a thread about it).
