LAUREN PING FULL MILE (not 1600) in 4:48! I’d assume she’d have to run this on the road as well because all tracks are closed! That’s a TWO SECOND drop from last year and her old PR was ONLY A 1600! can’t wait to see all the haters saying she and grace were burnt out get destroyed and they dominate once again in 2020.
THE PINGS ARE BACK BABY!

I’m assuming they will have a 2020 XC season. With wheels for speed like that on Lauren she will be a danger at NXN to contend for top 3.

WTF? Who cares about the most overrated and over hyped runners in the country?!?!? The Pings get more hype than elite runners and they are just very good runners, not elite runners. If I was an idiot and just followed the hype put out over and over again on them, I would think they are better than Tuohy? What have they done that is so great to get this much attention? Grace beating a High School field in 8th grade? She peaked there.........get over it, and live in the now not something that happened 4 years ago. I thought she was the next Mary Decker?

I don’t think they are a thing like decker...Graçe has yet to peak, her potential has not been reached yet..she was injured this year and still made footlocker nationals, something most healthy girls can’t do, and Lauren excelled at NXN...they haven’t scratched the surface yet and the mile Lauren ran proves it

Heard her say in the interview that the goal is for the (Desert Vista) team to make it to NXN.
If the season happens, they will make NXR SW interesting.
I think the 2 favorites at this point to autoqualify will be Niwot and Cherry Creek. Niwot got on the podium at NXN (although they had a subpar race at NXR) and return 5 of their top 7.
Cherry Creek got 4th at NXR and return their 1-4 from NXR in addition to Balding who was their #3 at Griak (where they destroyed all the Heartland teams) but ended her season there.
Desert Vista finished 10th at NXR but returns their 1-4 from NXR in addition to Thatcher who was their #4 at state but did not race at NXN. They could get in as an at-large.
Also can’t count out Lone Peak or Valor Christian which autoqualified and return 5. -
How about the Desert Vista TEAM wrote:

Actually Lone Peak returns 4 but you can’t count them out because they won NXR last year. -

Congratulations, Mr. Ping. -
I wouldn't called it burned out but I think they peak around age 15-16. Grace has probably passed and Lauren in a year. That doesn't mean they won't be great HS runners and good college runners.

How many times can one use "like" redundantly in an interview.

Years ago there was some girl running with hair down to the bottom of her back. She was really fast like the Pings. She even ran in the Olympic trials when she was a teenager. Never heard what happened to her. Probably burnt out like all the girls do.

What does Hasay have to do with the Pings? There have been millions of girls who competed in track. Hasay ran 4:14 in HS. Pings are lucky to break 4:30. They wouldn't even be in the race with Hasay.

Not sure if you were being sarcastic but Hasay hasn't run a PR since 2017 and no PRs on the track since 2014. She barely even finishes any races anymore. -

You do realize she’s not only a high schooler but a high school freshman. Right?
Take it easy on her. -
You are correct about that. People should try to be kind. The Pings look much older than they are and Grace has been in the news for so long that it seems they are 20 when they are probably 15 and 17.

Your sentence is redundant. But you knew that. Like really -

14 & 16 actually. Lauren will be 15 soon (her birthday is at the end of April--I'm not sure of the date. Grace will be 17 on July 7th. -
ah, yes, leave it to the letsrun MBs to call out a high school girl for not interviewing up to their standards!
