Making a lot of excuses for Trump. The point is he did not have the country ready for a pandemic in February. He left everything to the States and didn’t get anything in preparation to address crisis areas. That did cost lives, and deepen the crisis in NYC. Sure he couldn’t have known all the mitigation that was necessary but he could’ve stocked up so hospitals were ready and locked things down and with more authority as opposed to leaving everything to the states’ discretion.
Name one country that was prepared for a pandemic.
When did they prep for an unknown virus and what special actions did they take?
Like South Korea, they prepped after the SARS outbreak in 2003, as well as H1N1 in 2009, (and MERS in 2012 for South Korea). Bill Gates had a TED talk several years back that was prophetic of this pandemic and the preparation that we should have done. It wasn't because he is Nostradamus, it was because he, like South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Fauci, the disbanded US Pandemic Response Team, knew that a respiratory outbreak was likely the next big world health issue.
Taiwan and South Korea are way ahead of other countries. This is quick watch on Taiwan's actions. They had no new cases yesterday, fewer than 400 total so far, only 6 deaths.
This is what South Korea did. They are down to less than 30 new cases per day. This was the video that is probably way the rest of the world finally jumped onto wearing masks.
