I've somehow been lucky thus far and nobody has really said anything super rude, apart from once my friend and I were doing strides after our run and some genius drove by while yelling "run faster, $lut$!"
My favourite thing someone has yelled at me was probably the weirdest experience. The first time I ran a half I had no clue what I was doing and I went out way too fast and vomited into a bush nine miles in. The biggest hill on the course was right after the 11 mile mark and I was seriously considering walking it until one of the pacers, some guy wearing a camo shirt and a pink tutu, ran past me and yelled "let's move it, kid." I don't know how that was encouraging but it was pretty funny and kept me from walking, so thank you, random camo tutu guy.
We take inspiration wherever we can find it! haha
