Will colleges even have students on campus this fall for that matter?

Yes. Covid 19 will be gone in a month and the lawmakers will take full credit for it. The stock market rallied before it was really supposed to so now the rich and the politicians are jumping back in which means that the lawmakers will magically approve some drugs that eliminate the virus. 30 days. Gone.

No. We will open things back up. Things will be okay for a little while then it will all come crashing down again in October.
It's not looking like there will be sports before Dec. 1
Yes there is be HS and NCAA cross country in the fall. There could even be small meets in June / July.
nobody knows. I think the current wave is going to wind down soon, but it may re-emerge in the fall and could be much worse.
Better be. NAU is going to be fit and angry and they're going to rain down their vengeance on the NCAA this fall. May God have mercy on anyone in their way.

BYU will get a whole flock of returned missionaries back, plus a few that didn't perform as well last season, and a couple of top flight freshman that will see them win again. NAU guys will be DEVASTATED! So devastated that they will go home, study about being LDS, join the LDS church and then transfer to BYU.

So will North Central in the D3 race.
there will XC cross but the field will be limited to 2,600 entrants for safety reasons.
life will go on.
You mean like the flu season? We pay no attention to 50,000 deaths there I don't know why we would worry about 50,000 from Corona Virus.
Looks like Iowa will allow high school athletics beginning in early May. So, hopefully normalcy will soon follow for everyone else.

Nothing in Iowa is ever normal.
I have information from a state superintendent of public schools that schools will remain shut in the summer and could open up September or October but more than likely January 2021.
At this point fall sports are unlikely. They are worried about the “second wave.” If one kid or teacher gets it the schools shutter again. They are trying to avoid a relapse.

because the 50,000 deaths from COVID are happening over a month's time, not a year.
surprised you flu bros are still around after deaths hit 2.000 a day......and that's just a fraction of the rate seen at places in Europe. Belgium will lose as many to COVID in a week than they lose to flu in a year.
you must be especially bad at math.
There’s a chance colleges could return but I can’t imagine they’d let thousands of runners compete against each other, the risk is just too high. Same thing with road races, maybe they’ll let a limited number of pros line up at the start but road races are done for at least 2020 and possibly beyond.
The magic 8 ball says it’s probable

Road races and high school sports are going to start back up in a few states next month.
