He deserves some recognition here so RIP and a bump.
Is he on strava
Was he on strava is the proper question. Show some respect.
The Australians were outstanding in the 50s and 60s (and some beyond). I have a photo of Bailey beating John Landy in the 1st sub-4-minute mile run in the U.S. at the L.A. Coliseum, 3:58.6 to 3:58.7.
This is video of that race. Crazy that the stands look empty and definitely would have been Flotrack's 'kick of the week'...

Dang nice find. Good race. RIP.
In his book Bowerman and the Men of Oregon, Kenny Moore has a very nice description of this race, especially the entire town following by radio in Eugene, and the reaction. Really great evocation from a different perspective.
holy carp, i thought that kick into the picture was impressive, but then he goes to pass him on the outside of the turn, lmao.

This guy was built like a truck
The announcing is hilarious.
"Feather-footed stride"
"Jet-propelled stride"
You will die for making such a statement. Or else, you’ll die from something. As every human so far has died within 122 years of birth on Earth.
"This guy was built like a truck". Yeah, he was, but still crazy that after he stopped with the running here, he returned to Australia to play pro Rugby?! I think his bio had him at 5'10" - 154 lbs. Pro friggin Rugby! In Australia!
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
