From tomorrow.
Not really sure what I think about this.
Literally targeting the people trying to keep themselves in the best possible shape to fight off the disease and not be a burden to the healthcare system?
Or weeding out the rise of the CoronaHobbyJogger who won't bother in the evenings / early morning?
In general I've found runners to be the best at distancing - Seen instances of cyclists continuing to act in their "we didn't get the memo" we own the roads manner, refusing to show decency; Families spread four across, happily blocking trails / pavements to anyone hoping to pass; old people, stopping and chatting face to face to each other (!) pretty much sticking two fingers up to the rest of us who are stuck indoors, losing jobs, etc primarily for their benefit.
Not exactly sure what targeting runners achieves.
Paris Bans Daytime Jogging!! Running Curfew between 10am - 7pm

It will be interesting to see what happens now.
My guess is that Paris sidewalks will be clogged up in the morning from 7-10 am and after 7pm.
This probably won't solve nothing. -

Yes, if it doesn't discourage the nouveau jogger passe-temps, then it will just increase the risk by cramping people closer together over a shorter timeframe.
Turns out it is ALL outside exercise which has been banned:-
https://www.dailysabah.com/world/europe/outdoor-exercise-banned-in-paris-for-most-of-the-day-amid-coronavirus-pandemic
Therefore basically they are enforce herding their population out at the same time. Madness! -
I didn't believe this until I saw it myself:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thelocal.fr/20200407/paris-bans-outdoor-exercise-between-10am-and-7pm-during-lockdown/amp
Stupid - the French should know their history of the Nazi occupation of that country during WW2 where curfews were established and people were lock downed in their homes.
It's simply amazing watching some of these government leaders melt down into insanity because they can't deal with the coronavirus problem in a more rational way. In times when there is extreme emotional stress from a home confinement order the last thing you would want to do is restrict any form of excercise. Running/jogging during the mid-day where you can get some sun increases vitamin D levels and does wonder for mental health. Government leaders are oblivious to this.
Coronavirus = a world gone mad. -
They already weren't allowed to go more than 1 km (or was it two) from their house and were required to carry papers, even when jogging. This is just the next logical step. My county in the US has "banned" driving anywhere for runs. If you live in the ghetto or rich peopleville, doesn't matter, per a local ordinance, thats where you have to run. I can't imagine its too long before somewhere in the US bans outdoor exercise altogether.
-
Well, Dr. Fauci still runs 3.5 miles every day so I don't think they'll be banning all outdoor exercise anytime soon.

Literally targeting the people who are spreading the disease. Like the marathon runner in Italy who contaminated a huge area of people on his long runs. -
This is probably a good thing actually. It will reduce the number of hobbyjoggers on the trails and roads who can’t be bothered to wake up early or run around dinner time, but serious runners will have no problem finishing up a morning run before 10 and/or heading out after 7 on an evening run.
-
generally agreed. but kinda bummed that this may make it to the u.s.--have been really enjoying my solitary 11 p.m. runs, which may no longer be so solitary soon (and may defeat the original purpose of the 11 p. m. departure, perhaps i push to 2 a. m. now).

That's garbage. -
This seems like a sensible step. People who are exercising breathe more vigorously and need to space out more. By limiting their hours, you can separate people walking to the store for necessary purchases from those who are exercising.

Doesn't support your narrative, you say.

What narrative? I simple stated that your comment that he "contaminated a huge area of people on his long runs" was garbage.
You could have picked any news story to repeat this but you pick one with a headline "from Marathons to Evening Evenings"? Come on.
Yes he was a marathon runner and yes he infected a friend he was running with but that doesn't mean anything. He infected a lot of people but only one friend he had ran with - there is 0% evidence that actually happened when they were running is there? Could have happened before / after, who knows.
I have no narrative to support, just saying yours is rubbish. -

He ran marathon and half-marathon and spread the virus.
Please get your head out of YOUR ASS. -

Apologies, it's very hard to tell online whether people are deliberately trying to spread misinformation or whatever they are just plain stupid.
Yes he ran marathons / half marathons. And yes he spread the virus. But he did not spread the virus running marathons / half marathons as far as anyone knows - but please do post the evidence to the contrary since you'll have no problem verifying you aren't talking out of your ASS.
Looking forward to reading your evidence. -

YOU claimed YOU DIDN'T KNOW what to make of the ban. I provided you with a link to a runner for caused a super spread of the disease due, in major, part to running races attended by people for a VERY LARGE area (hint: they were not all locals ... people actual travel to do races). You then got YOUR undies in a wad about that. So, YOU went from claiming you were not sure, to getting upset there was a good reason for the ban. That tells us you had a narrative of wanting others to be as upset as you were; doing it in what you thought was not an obvious manner. In other words, you are trolling, -

Again this is an utter lie which you will not be able to provide any evidence of. You are creating a dangerous false narrative.
I don't care one jot about your sad, pathetic attempts to be disparaging (water off a duck's back) but I don't like people clearly spreading misinformation.
Once again - please provide some evidence that he ran a race leaving numerous race attendees, etc infected and I shall gladly apologize. However I don't suspect you aren't going to be able to do that since all news outlets reporting his case claim around 13 people infected by him - only one of which being a friend he had ran with. -

FIXED that for the OP troll.
