single, live alone. I typically down 5-10 drinks per week. recently I've been going through a handle of liquor every week. not feeling great about it. talking with friends, it seems they have a similar story. anyone else?

I drank a decent amount before and I’m drinking more now.
Went from 2-3 beers a night to adding a stiff whiskey each night making it more like 4-6 drinks a night.
Is what it is. I feel fine about it I don’t get many hangovers maybe a handful of times a year.
Liquor sales are well above normal thanks to covid. people have more time to kill and are bored at home and are stressed. alcohol is the answer for some.
I don't drink, but I'm thinking of starting...
how many shots in that stiff drink of whisky?
one of my good friends (lawyer) said he's drinking about 10 beers/day now
What else is there to do? Just don't drink and drive. Where I live restaurants are now allowed to sell alcohol to go. I've even seen one place give out beer in open plastic cups to take off premises.
I mean it’s all relative. When I’m counting my beers they are 16oz iPas 6-9%
My whiskeys are a solid 6 count out of a decanters don’t count the oz but it comes very close to filling the top of a rocks glass with a single cube
Good Lord, I'd think someone with your name would be thrilled at the uptick in consumption!
Kidding. Actually, it's so hard to shop for me that I snag whatever beer or wine comes within pole-reach!
No change really. I still drink a normal 5-10 drinks a day. Slightly more on the weekend. Only difference is they are spread out over a longer period of time.
The initial stress of the "unknown," had me drinking a few more beers on weeknights, but I've since replaced the beers with CBD tea. The tea is relaxing, I sleep better, and I wake up feeling a lot more refreshed.
Tonight will be my 1st night not drinking since 2/27/2020.
It's times like these that you realize what complete geeky lunatics the Mormons are.
That's the opposite for me. I want to stay healthy so I'm drinking less since the lockdown has started. Also I much prefer drinking with my buddies than alone.
I've been drinking tea which I never do normally, and cutting beer to a couple a day. Several days I've even had zero and funny enough but I don't miss it so much. I like the idea of being super healthy and strong before I get Covided.
normal 5-10 drinks a day lol... drinking alone makes you want to just keep drinking... Like When Am I gonna feel it, and be fun?! Half of drinking fun is being a cocky loud mouth talking to others..
My consumption is up. Prior to shelter in place I probably drank 5-7 drinks a week. Now I’m probably having 2 drinks a night most nights...12-14 drinks a week.

+1
I like a shot of Purell with a Trump tonic chaser.
I want to be pure and also virus free.
Who cares how much you drink? Nobody cares.

Same here for DPW. Entertaining two kids all day, and we’ve been adding sitting around the firepit outside after dinner way more often. 5 pm is basically like a bar happy hour at home now.
I just got a keg. It's cheaper.
