Agreed. There has to be some balance between risk reduction and living life.
I think that if all a kid is doing outside of the house is occasionally running with 7 friends, they're doing their part to "flatten the curve." I don't think people should be congregating with dozens of other people regularly, but a small group run seems like a pretty justifiable risk to me.
You can never eliminate all risk from life, but you can sure make yourself miserable in the attempt.
