Any of you stopped training all together? My motivation has dropped off greatly having to make myself go out the door. When I do run, I feel sluggish. Maybe due to this stress from the virus?

My training is way down, at least this week and last. I haven't felt like doing hard workouts with no races on the calendar. I can run as much as I want with nothing to do but run and work, but with every trail closed it isn't that enjoyable. Right outside my apt is suburban sprawl and before I get anywhere, the roads dead end near highways. I know one or two places that are open for running, for now if I want to drive the same place every day.
It's crazy how much power the mind has over the body. Up until last week I was running 55-60 MPW with a solid half of those miles under 6:30, and this week I'm at 24 miles and I can't seem to force my body to go under 7:00. My motivation is dead and it sucks because I know this is a perfect time to be lifting, doubling and getting the mileage sky high but I just have zero will to.
My training has been minimal, to say the least. What I perceived as a stress fracture in my foot sidelined me a few weeks ago.
I should get out and walk, though....
Still at 70-72 miles/week with some tempos thrown in. Will build to mid-80s for fall xc. Why stop training with all this time? It's what keeps sane.
I agree Billy. I have been off of work. Plenty of free time to run, but no energy. This virus is sucking the life out of all of us.
I've also stopped my training. I've stopped a lot of physical activities like basketball because of the pandemic. The worse part is that I'm gaining weight and I'm not motivated enough to do something about it.
