It turns out that their persecution of jogger is failing miserably and that it's not the solo runners who are spreading the disease.
Spain, you fail miserably.
In reality it takes well over a month to see the full benefit of a lockdown. At first you get residual infections from within the lockdown.

Since 14 March for the whole country, 2 days before for Madrid I believe.
They have run out of medical supplies and are forced to buy them with a very high price tags to chinese middlemen and extended their failing lockdown

Are you surprised by the high death toll of the day for Spain or are you protesting the use of the word "killed" in that context? Isn't that proper use of the word? If it's not, I would like to learn that.
the growth of daily deaths in spain is high, but it has been slowing for a few days,...not clear that the lockdown isn't working.

Not how this virus works.
This isn’t a sign that Spain is failing. COVID 19 sometimes takes 2 weeks to exhibit symptoms. They’ve barely been quarantining around 10 days. Will take a month or so to start seeing a decline.
It would be even worse with no measures taken. I wouldn't say their lockdown is failing, but that exercise done alone, in uncrowded places, has minimal effect on the stopping of the spread. This shows people don't need to be trapped in their house so long as they close down crowded trails and parks.
I fixed that for you.

The median incubation period was estimated to be 5.1 days (95% CI, 4.5 to 5.8 days), and 97.5% of those who develop symptoms will do so within 11.5 days (CI, 8.2 to 15.6 days) of infection. These estimates imply that, under conservative assumptions, 101 out of every 10 000 cases (99th percentile) will develop symptoms after 14 days of active monitoring or quarantine.
When you realize late in the game that you have to take drastic measures it’s already too late. How many times have we all read that? It’s pretty simple. When you realize you have a surging number of critical cases, you already have 2-3x that number that are in the early stages of symptoms and will be critical within another 5 days, and 4-9x that many that are in the asymptomatic incubation stage and will be critical in about 10 days. And when you lock down everyone without the ability to test everyone who needs it quickly and isolate them outside of their homes, pretty much everyone in the incubation stage infects the rest of their household. Maybe the 2nd in the household to be infected infects the 3rd or 4th person. But it’s easy to see that you can expect 6 weeks and about 30x the number of infections compared to the start of the lockdown before you’ve significantly suppressed it.

It would be worse without lockdown? It can be discussed. Do you now that the big majority of cases appear within 5 days?
That means more than twice the length of the lockdown. If the SARS-COV2 is so contagious, then it will spread in the grocery stores, public transportations, and working places. Nothing you can do against it without the protective gear.
It also show that banning jogging was a stupid and pointless move and in some form, they deserve to be the worst hit country for that.

No, it shows you're an ignorant know-it-all who'll put his useless hobby before the health and safety of those around you. I know full well what you deserve, I only wish we were face to face to give it to you.
How do we know that each of these deaths is due to coronavirus?
Have all these people been tested for this disease?
Spanish have the worst hygiene in Europe. I'm not surprised they are getting it the worst. If it wasn't for their hot climate (the exception being central Spain/Madrid Oct-April) they would likely be completely swamped the entire country. I predicted this a couple of weeks ago.
Seems to be the biggest risk factors are :
- lack of hygiene standards.
- cold weather
- touchy feely culture
- Chinese tourists visiting your city

Yes, it's the number given by Spain authorities, they test people for coronavirus, and the 718 number is the number of deaths for yesterday alone in their hospitals.
As a matter of fact, I'm leaving now to spend the day in a hospital looking after my 86 year old father in law in the Hospital, as I've been doing for the last two weeks. What are you doing with your day, other than spreading nonsense and wishing ill to a whole country?

Do we know that they actually treated each and everyone of those folks who died to see if they had coronavirus? Have you seen the test? Extremely invasive.
What we really need to see are daily totals of all deaths in each nation and compare that with the daily death totals from previous years. That will tell us about the mortality rate of this disease.

If true, at least, you are not scared to go out, that's already something I did not expect from you, but as a matter of fact, you are a much much bigger spreader than any jogger in the world.
That's your hypocrisy and the hypocrisy of your country. Don't be surprised to be the worst hit country when you take the worst choices.

The tests are not invasive at all and are extremely reliable.
If anything, Giles Corey, the numbers is underestimated. There are people dying at home or not being tested.
In Italy in a city they had a over mortality of 100 compared to the previous year, with just 35 tested for coronavirus officially.
