Anything over 45 MPW and I start getting injured and can't even break 14 minutes for a track 5000.

Not mainly a question of how many miles you run , more a question of how you run your miles. :)
I ran 50 mpw for 10 years but never considered myself a serious runner. I wish I had done 60-70 but working, going to school at night and studying when I was running my best times made it difficult.

Sincerely I'm more impressed by people who run very fast on low mileage that super high mileage types who barely achieve decent results.
