1. It's still online only learning
2. They've given students the OPTION of coming back to campus
3. This is only for the residence halls
4. The actual physical location/campus only has like 15,000 students, the rest are all "online" students normally.
I can't tell if you are being serious or not. Wow, having only 1 child dying in a 2 week period of any cause should be celebrated. 200,000 children died in the world of just starvation during that period. I assume that you sent every penny that you have to save those 200,000 black children. I know that you didn't but now you want every American to sacrifice every kenny they have to save 1 white child?
I know Furman is allowing students to stay on campus. They require you to fill out a form for the reason you need to stay. Then the school decides if you can.

Put all the kids back in school, ASAP. They are at no risk. Let their elderly teachers and profs stay on furlough and bring in young substitutes. In 3 weeks half the population is immune and the epidemic ends on its own.

In addition to your lack of understanding surrounding epidemics, your lack of understanding regarding the education system is hilarious. There’s already a teacher shortage in most states. My school struggles to find substitutes most days and we pay significantly more than other districts.
Bad Wigins.... you’ve tarnished your name on these boards over the past week. I’m not sure you’ll ever recover from this.
Like any shock jock, Cowherd, any talking head on Fox News, the president or any republican really, they don’t own anything if things are incorrect. They just move on to the next outlandish thing and lie about their mistake and pretend it ever happened.
Many professors are not old and others are healthy enough to take the small risk so it would only require a small number of subs. I am a college graduate and I would be happy to sub if they made some changes to the credential requirements for this purpose.

"Our students were infected and some died due to homosexuality in the world!!!"
I'm sure you don't mean "truths" like this one.

Do we need to go any further? 2 of the most irresponsible guys in our sport. Both hated by their peers.

You forgot the oh-so-despised Josh McDougal in your comprehensive list of irresponsible and hated runners.
Could you imagine being desperate enough to have to hire someone from this clown school?

Please provide some details. I don't follow the sport that closely but I am highly curious
Falwell Jr - what a creep!
I ran my first 1500m race and first race longer than 800m on their track my sophomore year of college.
One year later I won my conference championship in the 1500.
It was a nice area.

Excellent. We need some more dead fvckin' evangelicals in this country.
"Mark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the [Republican] party, and they're sure trying to do so, it's going to be a terrible damn problem. Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can't and won't compromise. I know, I've tried to deal with them...
There is no position on which people are so immovable as their religious beliefs. There is no more powerful ally one can claim in a debate than Jesus Christ, or God, or Allah, or whatever one calls this supreme being. But like any powerful weapon, the use of God's name on one's behalf should be used sparingly. The religious factions that are growing throughout our land are not using their religious clout with wisdom. They are trying to force government leaders into following their position 100 percent. If you disagree with these religious groups on a particular moral issue, they complain, they threaten you with a loss of money or votes or both. I'm frankly sick and tired of the political preachers across this country telling me as a citizen that if I want to be a moral person, I must believe in 'A,' 'B,' 'C,' and 'D.' Just who do they think they are? And from where do they presume to claim the right to dictate their moral beliefs to me? And I am even more angry as a legislator who must endure the threats of every religious group who thinks it has some God-granted right to control my vote on every roll call in the Senate. I am warning them today: I will fight them every step of the way if they try to dictate their moral convictions to all Americans in the name of 'conservatism.'" - Barry Goldwater

This makes much more sense but still seems not that great. I feel for students who were kicked off campus who really have nowhere to go. I can see schools offering housing for low income students and then open it up on a case by case basis to cover other heavy issues that could be going on at home. It sounds like healthy folks can just come back which means a higher chance larger groups of people end up coming together. Hopefully the dorms are being regulated in the same way we are being told to stay home.
I know many schools kicked students out of dorms except international students, and those domestic students with "unsafe" environments at home. They have migrated everyone into one dorm and only 1 cafeteria remains open.

Then put most of the kids back in school. You really think I'm wrong because you can nitpick? Get in line. You're making me look great. Point STANDS. Schools should never have been closed, and this infectious disease expert agrees.
Someone even seems to have reported it and got it deleted. On what grounds, I wonder? Other than too many facts, made too much sense, they feared losing the debate.
And if you really believe you can shame me, look around - an emerging majority on the boards agrees the panic was way overblown. The tide has turned.
Actually I’ve heard that Liberty will have to close down next week anyway as a non-essential business. Falwell’s just a little short of cash flow. It was never a real re-opening.
Unless the state or federal gov’t enforce it then it’s just a suggestion. I for one want to do whatever I can to help society prevent needless deaths. I guess the leaders at Liberty don’t feel the same. However it’s their right to not feel the same if they’re not being forced.
This virus has opened a can of worms that goes beyond sickness. It’s going to change education, religion, business, government... Hold on for a bumpy ride in the months ahead.
Welp, they say they don’t think they died from the virus. So, don’t spread fake facts.
