Malaria is the answer. The people have either had it or had a drug. The health experts know it but are waiting until the market totally crashes and we have implemented socialism.

You do not know that is the reason. There are many Ethiopians and Kenyans living in apartments in their large cities.
It is likely a reason. Traditionally, residences in Africa, South America and Asia rely on passive air conditioning (open windows, houses built above the ground, etc.). Africa has about 5% air conditioning penetration, as opposed to about 90% in the US. One of the big drivers to global warming in the past twenty years is an increase in the number of air conditioning units in places like China and India.
A likely reason implies more likely than not. Addis Ababa & Nairobi are heavily populated, crowed cities with millions of humans. Let us wait for the facts.
Slowly..but spreading that’s for sure and those countries don’t have a lot of people traveling in and out of the country.
Median age of people in Italy: 45.4 years old
Median age of people in Ethiopia: 19.5 years old
Average age of deaths in Italy: 79.5 years old
It's highly probable the ethiopian population will be very moderatly affected by the COVID19.
Life expectancy in Ethiopia is probably about 40.
Many more people on the African continent are in better physical condition than the average Westerner since they have not lead a life of eating highly-processed, low-nutrient food and sitting around on their bums most of the day.

It's 65.5 years old actually, which is not good but not that bad.

We are simply not seeing mass deaths. World wide we have seen 17,235 coronavirus deaths. In comparison, America alone had 34,200 flu deaths in 2018.
Could the deaths ramp up to apocalyptic levels? Maybe. But we are seeing the death rate drop around the world.
A question for you: Are you a moron??
Death-rates around the world are *rising*, and have been rising steadily for a long time now.
When things started getting hot here, which is only about two weeks ago, the world-wide death-rate was around 3.6%. Today, it's almost 4.5%, and rising every day.
It's rising just about everywhere in the world.
The US is about the*only* place on Earth where it's been dropping, and I expect that's about to change, as we start to overwhelm our health-care resources in the next few days.
Next time you're in the mood to make some pompous grand pronouncement, grab your calculator first, take 30 seconds to look up ACTUAL NUMBERS, and maybe that way you won't make an incredible ass of yourself like you just did here.
At first I wondered if Africa and the rest of the world were going to hit the same curve, just later. Now after a couple weeks, it looks like cases are not spreading there nearly as quickly as US and Europe. Certainly a younger population and quick actions taken helps.
There will be 7 million deaths from starvation this year. What is your estimate of the Chinese virus? Did you shut down your life last year and donate all of your money to wipe out starvation? I doubt it or you would not be posting because you would not have a phone.

Sure some are, but MANY have HIV, TB, malnutrition, and no access to clean water.
It just started later here in Africa, and few tests have been done. It will unfortunately be devastating. Same in India.
Life expectancy in Kenya is 66% (and that's gone up a lot in the last 2 decades). The Horn of Africa simply does not have that many people that would be most susceptible to dying from the virus.
As other posters have mentioned, the heat and having to deal with past pandemics probably has not hurt either.
It's hitting places with international airports first. That's why places like New York and DC are so hard hit right now.

As I type, it is 60 degrees F in Addis Ababa and 65 degrees F in Nairobi. You are just guessing. Wait for the facts.

Well done.
Lol yep.
LMAO nope!
Would you worry about a bad cold that can't even kill as many people as influenza, if you had real epidemics going on like aids, malaria, tuberculosis? If your life expectancy was already well below the 80 years needed to die of covid? It's totally moot on that continent.

African countries actually have a lot of experience with infectious diseases and are pretty good at handling them. African countries have been on alert for coronavirus and vigilant about travel restrictions, testing and containment. Russia is also a big success story. 149 million people. 495 cases of coronavirus despite sharing a vast border with China. Very early on, Russia closed its border with China and closely monitored people coming into the country from places affected by coronavirus. They tested like crazy and did contact tracing and quarantines to prevent positives from turning into an outbreak. And that shows that the coronavirus outbreaks in the US and Europe were really conscious decisions by governments to prioritize short term stock market trends over effective infectious disease control measures.
Cool story bro. Governments covering the real number of cases is the solution.
More like a rich person disease

Though I'm starting to think giving the ridiculously low death rates/infection rates in Eastern Europe, that Slavs might have some kind of resistance to it.

Sadly this is true, Corona will not even be a blip on the radar in places like that.
