Florida is the third in population. Seventh in Corona virus deaths.

Well based on the fact that Trump, his GOP sycophants, and his low IQ voters are doing everything to make sure this situation gets worse and based on the FACT that the US will soon lead the world in total number of cases, total deaths, and surpass China in deaths per 1 million people—the WHO and CDC have announced an official name change for the virus. The virus will hence forth be known as the novel Trump-virus.
One of the sad things, is Vitamin D normally helps a lot with peoples immune systems, and why it's so good with the flu (you can lookup studies on it).
So what's the one thing we do to 'protect' people from the virus ? Make them all stay indoors....
So you're less likely to get it, but if you do, you're more likely to die, as you've got less Vit D from the sun...
Great!

Fair enough. I get your drift. Although it’s a bit sensationalistic to make 1,000 per week the headline when we haven’t even hit 800 in 3 weeks of tracking.
We probably hit 1k per week at some point. I don’t know what peak will be, and I’m not going to speculate
At some point? If you don't want to look at current rate (daily rate of 225 today multiplied by 7 is 1,575), and look at the sum of the last 7 days, it's already 669. Tomorrow, the sum of the last 7 days will have 41 drop out and be replaced with something likely higher than 225. In two days, we will hit your 1k per past week mark.
I built econometric models for a living. I learned a long time ago never to take one or two data points and extrapolate out from there.

Yeah sure. And I don't build econometric models for a living, but I can count up to more that two.

Lol. I see a sea of numbers with not a whole lot of interpretation.

How does that work, the Vitamin D thing?
You literally fabricated a claim and then refuted your own claim with a link. I don't know if you could look any dumber if you tried.

Quote: Daily or weekly supplementation halved the risk of acute respiratory infection in people with the lowest baseline vitamin D levels, below 25 nanomoles per litre (nmol/L).
There's a few different theories as to why, but I think it seems to help those who have the lowest availability of vit D resources, via their immune system response. I've read quite a few studies on it, some seem to help, others make no difference (and more importantly don't make matters worse). I suspect those where studies are on ppl with reasonable vit-d levels don't really get much benefit.
The above implies the risk was halved for some folk, how many lives could be saved by trying it, especially for those with low vit D. It's pretty low cost, easily available, no negative side effects that I'm aware of.
Guess who has really low vit D...folks in care homes who get no sunshine or supplements. And now we are being asked to stay indoors too. I'd personally get some vit-d supplements if you are that way inclined, and hedge your bets, but I know some don't believe and that's fine.

You must be new here, that’s what coevett does.
Thank you!
Btw I'd also google 'vitamin d hammer' if interested, the idea that you take a big dose if you get flu. Again it's something I would look into more if someone is suffering, but do your own research, I'm not a doc :).

164 today vs 225 yesterday. That’s a 27% decrease. We’ll be at zero in no time
