Most people around here don't get out unless the weather 65F+ and mostly sunny. Went out for my afternoon run today and did a route that rarely has much foot traffic on a cloudy 45F day. It was pretty much the most crowded I have ever seen this route in weather like this or almost on any day. There was no one to get proper distance unless I jutted out into the middle of the street. I'll probably just start doing a one mile loop around the neighborhood and run in the middle of the street with the reduced vehicle traffic.
So it looks like "shelter-in-place" basically means we are shifting our means of virus transmittal from all the places that have closed down to our local parks and paths. Only a matter of time until we shut down the parks like Italy. This will get ugly.
