I can honestly say that for the last week plus, my life has not been affected AT ALL by the fact that almost all sports have been stopped.
When it comes to running, I did not have any races planned, so all these cancellations have had no impact there. I can still run outside (for now). As far as all other sports, well, when I did watch them on occasion, it was purely for entertainment. I don't have favorite teams. That being said, I still do feel bad for the arena workers and all the supported businesses affected by the shutdown.
My country is under total lockdown and I miss being able to go out for a run in nature and just trying to improve my shape with tempos, track workouts, fartleks etc.
As for professional sports including track, I do not miss them at all. In fact, if we get through this crisis, I would be ok if professional sports ceased to exist as they offer zero value to society and today it just seems absurd to be paying someone piles of money to run around, throw a ball around, or punch someone else in the face. Pro sports may even be a very negative force on society, in track you have doping and and a sport like professional soccer should absolutely be banned as the packed soccer stadia in Italy have been literal breeding grounds for this curent coronavirus pandemic. Like you I feel bad for people like stadium staff who have been impacted but I have no sympathy for the pro millionaire athletes or their managers etc.
