Puffer is tinman training
Sherry, I don't know but I know he had a swimming background before all this, correct me if I'm wrong
Here is one of Puffer's XC workouts
Sherry does not do high milage, under 50mpw. I’d guess an average of 40 but it could possibly be more like 45-50 now. He doesn’t seem to take much rest or downtime after a season or race, just cuts back for a little then pushed onward.
PEDs
Kid is a gazelle.
Love how he's focused on Foot Locker and not NXN.

And Both Sherry and Puffer do FL and not NXN
I've spoken with callum and gavin, after a small dual meet. their summer training was just runs ranging from 7-12 miles in the west hartford reservoir (a very hilly area, they avg like 500-600 ft of elevation gain per run. The training was easy to moderate runs, and on cross training days they will do 10x 5min bike sprints. They rarely take days off and dont do any kind of track work until the season starts.

Smart. So basically 60-70 mpw just rolling over hills on dirt, nothing structured? How often do they do the bike sprints? That's a pretty cool way to combine all of the possible effects of hill sprints, plyometrics, and strength training.
This is 800isthebest race, just made a new account. I lied. They do switch it up with tempos and long runs, but they stay in the 5-12 mile range, only doing double digits like twice a month or so. They cross train once a week-once every two weeks and their mileage just stays around 45-55. Most of their runs are in the 7:10-6:30 range, and they tempo around 5:00-5:30. they both clearly also do strength training. THey do take days off but only like 2 per month.
Gavin maxes out at 55-57, Callum I think does the same. you are right about the not taking weeks off. I think he only took 1 week off this year nearing the ct state open due to sickness (not covid).

So Sherry is the US next Olympic medalist
