I know I would. Absolutely no risk going on a run alone.

In the Czech Republic it's arrest and a $150,000+ fine if you are outdoors without a medical certificate signed by your doctor for those quarantined, and it's looking likely the entire population will be quarantined in the next few weeks.
In such a situation, going outside in running gear will lead to instant arrest and said fine, at least if you live in a city where you'll be noticed straight away.
This is going to have a massive impact on the development of young athletes in the Western hemisphere. No doubt in places like Kenya they will never introduce such draconian measures, and the police can easily be bribed off with $2 tea money anyway.
That s for people who are sick. Not for sane people.
That would be illegal and contrary to the constitution.
I can go out in city or in the woods. They won t be able to prevent me.

In what way is it contrary to the constitution?
Good for you Americans if it is impossible for the President to take such a measure, maybe attitudes will be different if and when thousands are dying every day.
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/12/us/coronavirus-quarantine-questions.htmlFreedom of move. It is also a human right
I would follow the recommendations of our government for the safety and health of the public. And i would do so knowing that there are more important things in life and in society than my past times, pursuits, and interests.
Is there really any question here?

Is this the same country which has 'freedom of speech' as an intrinsic human right and yet has given the world 'cancel culture'?

There is.
If the recommandation are borderline illegals and more, completley irrelevant and useless, then it is a matter of pernnal responsability to not follow them.
In other words, if they advise you to jump from a bridge, don't be a lemmings. I perfectly understand why all the grouping will be slowed down to the minimum, but going out to run , walk your dog or take a breath of fresh air is an absolute minimum.
It is most assuredly not going to happen. Point is, we should all be doing what we can to contain the virus.

Same, even if surveillance personnel forced me to run laps around a field or a track where they could see me. With neighbouring France officially going into quarantine mode, it shouldn’t take long for the state of Baden-Württemberg to take a similar measure.

Just remember to set your Strava to private, or best of all, leave your GPS watch and mobile inside.
You don't want German police partying like it's 1938 crashing through your door at 4 am (wearing N95 masks and hazmat suits).
I live in northern Italy. Right now we are not meant to leave the house but for necessity (groceries, etc), health (visit to the doctor), and work (if you happen to work for one of the few business allowed to remain open).
One major exception to this is solo running or walking, which the government clarified is OK. I see a lot of people out walking dogs on my runs.
Given the way the virus spreads, running by yourself and away from other people will not result in further contagion.
If your sick you likely won't be running anyway, but in that case it is forbidden to leave the house.
probably. If no one will patrol the streets. my backyard isn't big enough.
The Czech Republic just announced that everybody in the country is now going to be quarantined.
The Brojos need to make an official thread where we can pool advice and suggestions on how to continue to train and get through this (for those of us quarantined).
Keep it on the mill
Public health officials know that walking or running outdoors helps to keep a healthy person's immune system strong. Moderate exercise in the fresh air. They will not restrict this. Just keep your hands to yourself, don't get too close to other people etc.
Freedom of assembly.
I live in Italy , center Italy Tuscany touristic place on the sea side . Last Sunday as many others parts of Italy lot of of people gather round like normal days full the restaurant ecc (in north Italy it was already happened the Covid-19 cases of course) So because this the goverment has done more restrictions, and finally this week and today , nobody around. You can run alone, as I normally do everyday, I m still lucky that we have an immense natural park where you dont meet anybody except wild animals. On the street of town you can still run alone , or walking your dog.
The important thing is to not gather round with other people.
Apart from this we stay at home.
I don't see chunkykins Trump making an exception for running in the US. Maybe for golf.
Guys, calm down. Austria imposed a lockdown. However, you can still go for a walk/run if you don't meet up with people you don't live with. Makes sense to me. Actually, it will be epic to run in mostly empty streets.
