Few coaches of young adults and kids do it for purely altruistic reasons. Most of them are perverts who simply prey on the young and impressionable. And young people who are trying to get their foot in the door are more easy to manipulate than older seasoned adults.
Pervert coaches exploit the uncertainty and the aspirations of young athletes who feel that their relationship and standing with the coach is tantamount to their advancement in the sport. I am all for taking allegations seriously. But there are a lot of holes in this report.

She may have a family but don’t assume that didn’t happen without a lot of assistance from medicine. This is typical female athlete triad syndrome.
I also want to bring to light the practice of coaches calling athletes while in high school. While I’ve never been a victim of abuse, I remember dreading my college coaches calls as they were often late at night and awkward. Does this type of calling HS kids happen to this day? And does anyone else find it to be somewhat unnecessary?
One point I totally don’t get is how she claims she transferred because of his abuse, yet ends up at the same school as him again...wtf?
WHAHUH? ... Bartholomew, you may look at kids that way but do NOT dump that on anyone else. Been involved in sports all my life as an athlete and a coach. People like Rembao who are "perverts who simply prey on the young and impressionable" are in the extreme minority and need to be driven out of the sport!
