I sympathize with those losing their track seasons. Spring track my senior year was one of my most rewarding athletic experiences, so yeah, it it a major downer to miss it. You are not a victim of some cruel injustice, though; this is just a reality of the fragility of human existence. Sometimes we have to sacrifice. The way to prevent those sacrifices from spiraling out of control right now is to cancel some events.
When you are young, it feels like every month is a referendum on your life, so it is hard to see, but you will have many more opportunities to race and achieve your goals. Keep training and look forward to that future.
