Not Awesome....hypocritical.
1. they brought on Dathan to their team. he did some sketchy things and that basically forced Linden off the team.
2. They treat their "athletes" like indentured servants.
3. it's just stupid blustering. Most certain their runners aren't 100% clean.
False on all accounts!
If you think Hansons runners are cheating or treated like slaves you're an idiot. Desi quit because she didn't want to share the spotlight with a clear Michigan favorite in the ranks. I've been to a couple of events at the Hansons stores and guess who got nearly double the crowds? Dathan.
But keep pushing YOUR agenda.
Nope, not false at all. They absolutely do treat their athletes like indentured servants.

I told you that you can’t say something nice without your boards turning into a ? show. They will either attack your topic or attack you. But they will attack.
The Hansons are good for the sport. No one gives more but this board is ruthless.
Can people say more about them treating their athletes poorly? I read Sage's book. It seems like they attract a certain kind of runner who is going to be willing to put in the work without a pat on the back. But the Hansons seem really good for the sport. They promote the sport left & right & promote the right aspects of it.
The Dathan thing threw me off because it seemed like an oversight on their end. They probably could have done a better job consulting other athletes about that move. It seems like their team culture is very against things like doping.
Their team culture is slowly eroding. Now they have "team members" who don't live near or workout with the main group, like Ritz, Biwott, and Rodgers. Separate but equal isn't a sound way to build unity. Aside from the 2nd or 3rd chance pros like the three mentioned above, they're universally attracting a lower tier athlete than 10 years ago when they had Sell and Linden join. It's starting to look like they're satisfied with having developed two Olympians and now are coasting into retirement, content to not have to spend energy on corralling and breaking top dog type energy and ambition.
Brooks also paid Gabe Grunewald her US indoor champ bonus even when she had that BS disqualification.

This is false

So maybe we should go into the past and even the criminal history of everyone the hanson brothers have paid out bonuses too. This is some F'd up crap and is definitely a wee racist.
If any of their winners ever had an arrest or were cited for speeding maybe we shouldn't pay out a bonus either.
Did you get suspended from school in high school for misbehavior? Sorry, no bonuses. I have lost all respect for the hansons.
The dude won and put in his time and energy like everyone else. He's served his time. America, grow the F up.
As usual, you have no idea what's going on.

Well that's what a Brooks sports marketing director tweeted at the time.
Hanson can pay their runners whatever they want.
But the winner finished his 2-year suspension for doping more than 4 years ago. The official result is just that.
We rarely give life sentences for serious crime, but Hanson's stance suggests any doping offense should be met with a forever ban.

And they had Jake Riley, who won club XC while there. I don't know why he left, though.

Absolutely not true, and the fact that you think so means you know nothing about the history of slavery in this country and how insulting that is to our ancestors.
First off - Hanson aren't even pros. Put them together on a team and they couldn't win an NCAA championship in Division 1 XC
Second - Rumor is that there coach's let Ritz dope and knew about it
