As Kieran Tuntivate put it, "Harvard is sending all students home on Sunday anyway. I was moved out of my dorm, and expecting to race in Albuquerque/stay there for the remainder of the semester. From a health standpoint, going home and going to Albuquerque and staying there seem like congruent situations"
This is a very valid point. He was doing remote online classes - what does it matter if he competes for Harvard in Albuquerque?
As a senior, it was his final chance to run in the team uniform. Who knows what his plans are for after graduation (I'm guessing he may be selected to represent Thailand for the Olympics, if they still happen) so it's possible he may never get a chance to compete in a NCAA competition again.
Does KT have any outdoor eligibility left? If not, he can still train for the Olympics and represent Thailand. That is if the Olympics don't get cancelled.
