This last weekend i went skiing. Did a whole bunch of glade skiing and didn't hit a single tree. However, while i was going down a regular groomed run one of my skis hit a bunch of slush i spun out and i went into a bunch of saplings. The center of my torso near the bottom of my ribs on my right side took a direct hit at a sapling that was about an inch wide and i completely bent it over. I experienced no pain after the crash and skied for the rest of the day no problem (3 hours left). I checked my torso that evening and i had a small mark visible mark at the impact site but it did not look like a bruise.
Today i went for my first run since skiing. Post run my ribs at the impact site began hurting quite a bit. Nothing incapacitating but it certainly hurts to do anything that causes me to bend to one side.
So what do you say letsrun do i go to the doctor? I suppose they might not even do anything even if i have a broken rib. I probably think its most likely that i only damaged muscles and thats why it hurts now after a 6 mile run.
