+\- 50 minutes?
+\- 50 minutes?
50:45
Way under...47:23
Somehow I found myself watching the 2016 triathlon finals from Rio. I was shocked to see how Jorgensen was running, she actually looked "not that bad." Her shoulders were still a little high and tight but she actually looked like a runner. What the heck happened to her? If you compare her running form then to her form now, it's completely different. It couldn't have been the surgery because her form was all jacked up when she ran that 10K at Stanford and I'm pretty sure that was before the surgery.
The over/under should be based on 48 minutes I think, and I believe she will be just under it.
Her 10k track right now is probably 31:30 based on her 15:10 5k, that pace for 15k is a 47:15... She wouldn't maintain that obviously because it's an extra 5k, so if there were such a thing as a 15k track race she'd probably run 48:15-48:45. Gate River is pretty quick, but you do have the killer hill at the end where you undoubtedly lose some time. The temperatures are looking great, will be in the 50's during the race. A little breezy but not bad.
I think a good estimate is 48:30-49:00.
Wow. Her triathlon running looks so much smoother. No wonder she thought she could make the Olympics running. In her Youtube videos nowadays, it looks like she has no pop at all. Now she's leaning so far back. She's over-rotating. She can't get her leg to pop off the ground. I bet she has totally cut swimming from her training. Add that to the pregnancy and injury and she must have lost the magic.

Please list all of the past athletes that have broken 48 minutes at this race? How about sub 50?

Mr. Mom has it handled. He'll squeeze babysitting in between changing the sheets, cleaning the toilets, and doing the grocery shopping.
"Mr. Mom?" So only moms do those things?

Now that Walmsley is done with O Trials we fanboys need another long-shot dark horse distance runner to get excited about.
49:30 to 50:15

Her run there was 2 minutes+ slower than her 10k PR, that's the biggest difference. Now she's pushing the edge on the run constantly and your form breaks down more quickly. She's also definitely lost some muscle which makes sense. She really needs a couple more years of run specific training.

I heard through a reliable source that a friend of a friend witnessed a recent exchange at BTC practice where Gwen asked Shalane a question that led to Shalane rolling on the ground laughing controllably for a couple of minutes. When the bystander asked another one of the Bowerman babes what the question was - the answer “do you think I have a shot at your 47:03 course record next weekend”?
