I’m here on peachtree street and the wind is nuts. 20+mph gusts. Definitely gonna be a factor today

I said I'd post my picks in the contest to show I'm not cheating. Here are mine.
I decided that I should honor the hypothesis I threw out months ago that Rupp wouldn't make the team. And for that to happen I think he has to drop out. Not likely to happen but I love being a contrarian.
I think it's more likely Hasay doesn't finish than Rupp but here are my prediction contest picks.
Men's Individual Picks
1. Leonard Korir
2. Jared Ward
3. Scott Fauble
4. Matthew McDonald
5. Connor McMillan
6. 2:12:25
Women's Individual Picks
1. Jordan Hasay
2. Emily Sisson
3. Sally Kipyego
4. Kellyn Taylor
5. Molly Huddle
6. 2:26:26
Women, Hall for the win, Hasay #2, Huddle surprises and makes team.
Men, Korir and Rupp break away from Ward over the last 4 - 6 miles. Who's more fit between Korir and Rupp? We'll find out.

Did something happen to desi or are you actually not picking here. These conditions seem perfect for her
My Picks for women are
1. Emily Sisson
2. Des Linden
3. Sara Hall
I like all three of them but anything could happen in the womens race. So many contender its crazy. But I do think Hasay won't finish because of her hamstring issues. The hills will amplify this and I don't think its going to help her. If she finishes she will be in the team.

the shorter and more bean-pole like runners will fair well, anybody over 5'8" and 130 lbs will be a sail in the wind
Seeing how hilly the course is, not too sure the times will actually be *that* fast....
Yeah the wind is coming from the NW and will only reduce to 18mph during the race window.
He also forgot Walmsley.
Did a run out along Peachtree and around some of the trials loop an hour ago. Wind gusted in places, but didn’t seem like much as soon as you got out of the tall buildings. Good running conditions. The elevation is definitely going to slow things down ... thought we were in the flat headed out, but on the way back it was very much uphill.
1. Rupp
2. Ward
3. Korir
1. Hasay
2. Sisson
3. Linden
Additional props bet: if Ritz finishes, he makes the team. I saw him out jogging and chatting with Biwott yesterday afternoon. They were both laughing, no tension there. I think Ritz is ready to rock as long as he holds it together. The only reason he’s not on my list is because he’s been so fragile.
The elevation profile for the course...
I think Bumby is going to have a good race today. I spoke to him last week and he said this has been his best marathon prep yet. Also he proved at 2018 Boston that he can handle poor conditions (if the wind does play a big factor). I think both he and Derrick could be a factor in this race.
Where's the official 2020 Tokyo marathon thread?
Kebenei, Kibet, Korir to make the top 10?
I'm excited. Lots of interesting stories, is Rupp back? How will an Ultrarunner fare against America's best distance runners? How about the masters, Lagat and Abdi? Can our two recent 209 guys put up similar performances (Ward and Fauble). How about Korir, is he for real?
I predict 66:00 first half for men, and 1:16:30 for women.
Can someone post a stream link? I'm too stupid/lazy. Thanks
I've registered with The Olympic Channel and it looks ready to go, I'm delighted. Just go on and register and it's all set for 16:55 GMT (UK based)
Pretty much this. I’m pretty excited to see what goes down today, especially on the women’s side. I’ve run into Sisson numerous times over the last few weeks and that woman is fit, not that any of the others aren’t. Molly, Sarah, Emma, Jordan,Kellyn, Sally, so much can happen and any of them can make the team. Looking forward to seeing what Jim can do as well. He’s a good dude at the core and I’ve he has a great showing no matter where he places.
I try to register there but it just brings me back to the homepage when I click register. It's a non-stop loop.

The men's half seems right, but I think the women will get after it and it will be more like low 73.
