Leonard Korir has a half marathon PR that matches Rupp at sub 60. And he ran 2:07 for his debut marathon this past fall. So Rupp can't 'jog' and beat him, they are almost identical at this point in time. Now, can the two of them practically 'jog' and be 3rd place? Probably.... Only other recent sub 2:10's in the past four years were on the 400+ foot net downhill course of Boston.

Does anyone else find it hard to support G. Rupp since he has denounced his Christian faith and taken up these pagan practices? It is clear to me that since the witch hunt for Alberto, Alberto's positive Christian influence on Galen R.'s faith has been severely attenuated.

The trials course is 2:55 slower than a flat course. I don't see any of these 3 breaking 2:11. I also don't see Rupp taking the lead until he has to which will be the last couple miles. He won't break 2:11 either.

Meanwhile, the British press is crucifying Mo (quite rightly IMO) for his links to Al Sal, we had a parliamentary inquiry into his links with Al Sal and whether UK athletics did enough to stop those links.
And guess what? There are currently about five threads on the first page full of Americans claiming that Mo trying to save sleazy Sal's skin (before being told firmly by a UK athletics official to tell the truth) proves that British athletics is corrupt from top to bottom, and every British athlete is doping. Full of racist slurs such as El K's 'such a filthy country' comment, and the usual bad teeth schoolboy humor.

I'm starting to think that doping must be endemic at all levels of American running, not just the sprints.
Britain, like any other country, throws up the occasional cheat, but it's usually obvious such as Paula and Mo, and in Mo's case, not even really British. In fact, you could argue Mo is more American than British. Given his transformation really began when he moved to the USA under Al Sal, his doping is an American thing and not British for sure.
But with Americans, doping is so ingrained it probably starts at High School. Thus they don't really stand out like the occasional British doper.
