People have said spikes are faster than the vaporfly on the track, but how hard could it be to attach some spikes to the vaporfly or some similar shoe? Seems like it won't be long before the track WRs start to fall.
Discus.

You must be GwenJorg
https://www.letsrun.com/news/2018/06/gwen-jorgensen-wore-custom-nike-vaporly-4-spike-usatf-nationals/I'm pretty sure people are breaking the world records. Most of the top runners in the world wear Nike, so most of the records are being broken with Nike shoes. But Adidas sponsors some runners too, and their guy broke the 10k world record, not Nike with vaporfly.
So if you have 80% of the best runners of the world wearing the same shoes, then yes, those shoes are likely to break the world record.
The records have been beaten every couple of years since the beginning of time. Men's marathon world record was broken about 8 times since the year 2000, what was the excuse for why it was broken the 6 times before vaporfly?
Hey don’t be so logical here. Fast times can only be because of shoes and not athletes getting better. The only real world records are from before shoes, everyone since has been mechanically doping!
When will the Vaporfly break the pole vault, long jump, and discuss throw records? Is everyone's brain here so small that they don't realize it's track AND field, not just track?
What shoe is this? It looks kinda nice
If that could happen, it already would have.
Not one world record has been broken because of the vapor fly or any other shoe.
That thing really looks like it should be illegal.
It's not the shoes it's the athletes wrote:

The carbon fiber plate is counterproductive on a track surface. Instead of returning energy, it puts it all into the soft track surface and feels like you are running on mush. Same with the zoomx, it's no longer spring, it's mushy as all that energy is absorbed and leaves you feeling dead in the water. Its TERRIBLE on Mondo! I'm sick and tired of all these people talking about Vaporflys on a track. By all means, please do wear it so I can clean your clock!
