They are super firm. This worked for me in the old models before they added boost and high drops, like the adizero rocket and hagio. I don't like them, but they work for a lot of people.

If you're doing "XC" in California, they'd probably work, as the ground there is hard and dry, right? They wouldn't work on a proper XC course though, and should only be used as a road flat from 5k-15k (or round up to 10 miles).

this is the weird part...I hate firm shoes and cant' run in them. I find the Adios 3 and 4 to be soft. But I think I'm the minority viewpoint on this.
I think for whatever reason, the way I run matches the adios' cushioning. It's just the exact right soft but not sloppy feel I like.
That's how running shoes work tho...hard to generalize from the particular.

Where do you get your takumi sen? I was actually looking at the Asics TartherEdge for a replacement since Takumi is not available
They’re available in the US again.
https://m.adidas.com/us/adizero-takumi-sen-6/EE4341.htmlIt's just you. The Adizero Adios is great, one of my favorite shoes, I'm on my second pair. They are flexible, light, and comfortable. I have a light build so I wear them for tempos and long runs. I use something lighter for racing. The only downsides are that they are a bit narrow, and the sole doesn't last that long.
People are weird. Adidas' most successful shoe ever...

I wish they had them in actual men's sizes.
The Adios Adizero series has been fantastic. The Adidas Boston Boost peaked at the Boston Boost 6 and has gone downhill from there. The Adidas Boston Boost 8 is one of the worst shoes I've ever run in

How many miles do you have in Boston 8? Initially they're bad, a scratchy upper after 40miles though it seems to loosen a bit and the better sizing/width is appreciated.
Whoever posted link to Adidas takumi thank you, however they're only available in US4-9 size...the other Japanese Flat I was thinking Asics TartherEdge anyone try those?
They are super firm but weigh a little bit more than flats like the LT. I like them for workouts/long runs. They provide some support but still let you run fast. In the Vaporfly world, I'm probably not gonna race in them anymore but I ran some half marathon/marathon stuff in them previously and the races went well.
The Adios were always an in-between shoe for me that wasn't great for anything. Found it too heavy for racing 10k and shorter, too minimal for training, and too minimal for racing longer distances. The Boston turned out to be a better training and longer race shoe for me. But my slimmed-down weight is 170 lbs, so in my experience I need a bit more cushion than the average distance runner, who is usually shorter and lighter.
