Hi. For the past 7 days i've been running through soreness in both my calves which has progressed to pain in my shins. My blood work has been fine and i have no deficiencies in anything but somehow my calves won't stop being sore. It's like every time i run (heck, recently even walk) the back of my calves tighten up) my mileage has been the same for a month now at around 50 mpw. I'm a forefoot striker and i still include routine interval sessions every week. I have a 16 miler scheduled for today but i don't know whether i should continue to run through the pain or if it would do more harm than good. I've always always always been determined to put in the miles no matter how slow they have to be to be finished. I just wanted to say that to put my situation in perspective. Have any of you been through something like this? If so, what would you recommend I do? Yesterday was my weekly off day and things are only slightly better.
