So I just want to play a little game, next weekend I have a 3000m race and I know pretty accurately what I'll run but I want to see who can guess the closest time.
Over the past 6 weeks I've been racing every weekend and my times are as follows:
400m = 65.92
800m = 2:36.38
1500m = 5:19.06
3000m = ?
5k road = 21:09
10k road = 46:42
I presume you’re quite new to running. Relatively speaking, times get progressively worse the longer the races get, which suggests a lack of endurance. This is common in newer runners.
If you out your 1500m time into a running calculator, it predicts 11:24, but if you plug your 5k time in, it gives 12:16. 11:50-12:00 is probably a decent goal for your race.
