I find it funny that you would call out the Penn guys initially. What about the 3 Yale kids seeded at 3:58??? And each ran 4:01, 4:04, 4:04 with none of them having credentials like Daly or Sellaro.
Would advise that you do some fact checking next time and choose the real ridiculous seed times. Could name a lot more before I would’ve chosen the Penn kids who were each seeded at 3:59 after having run times of 4:03 and 4:04, respectively.
Ex: Will Laid of Yale. Ran 4:07 prior to meet, and was seeded at 3:58. Dumb if you ask me.
I simply started with #32 (the slowest sub 4 seed time) and worked my way down skipping the non NCAA athletes (since I could not check their PB easily).
The time doping was very obvious. There were not 32 runners with sub 4 PBs. The majority of the 10 runners who did end up running sub 4 had PBs which were slower than 4min. Tuntivate, Ellis, Schadler, Ernst...
Only a handful actually had sub 4 PBs
It is rather funny that the three names that got called out (who actually ended up running the event) ended up running the mile of their life.
Pretty much everybody were doping their seed times. That was the point.
But very funny that the Harvard guy ended up running quicker than his seed time and Daly came within a few tenths of his seed time.
