What happened to Gwen Jorgensen, didn’t she run over 30 seconds faster two years ago before she even started training with the Bowerman babes?

Not enough cross training.
She’s overtraining. She’s not fit enough to train with the other BTC women yet Jerry is throwing her into workouts with everybody else.
She might be able to get a scholarship to run for the University of Wisconsin as she finished right behind Amy Davis.

Brutal.
It’s her first race back after surgery. Give her some leeway.
No excuses. She ran like a 15:15 6 months post childbirth. This is not a good result for a sub 32 10k runner. She’s been training healthy with the Bowerman tc for a while now.
Too busy making videos and chasing her husband with the frying pan.
She had her surgery in May of last year, so about nine months post op.
Give her a break. Glad to see her still racing.
The pure harsh truth :
She has a kid, she had a surgery, she's not hungry anymore. She's doing it just to make a living.
Her 5k 15:15 post pregnancy is because it was her first big break from the sport, so she was motivated to get back in shape. But now, it's the second time, she's getting back in shape "artificially", there's no motivation to destroy everyone anymore.
The decision to bail on the marathon had to have been a bit demoralizing. I think the psychological letdown may have drained her more than the baby and surgery.
Or maybe she just had a bad day. I don't think Jerry would have raced her if he knew this was going to be the result.
She's a 1-Race Wonder and should hang up the spikes right about now.
Agreed that she's over training and probably going into the red more often than her teammates. She wasn't elite in college as a runner, so no reason to think she'll be great now. Hope she can turn it around though as I think she has some potential in the 5k, maybe a hair under 15 flat.
Funniest thing is that none of the males who are harshly criticizing her on here have even broken 16 for 5k. She's still one of the fastest women in the country.
To be fair it seemed to be a slow heat. When she ran her 15:15 there were other women doing similar times in that race right? I didn’t watch so not sure if they went out slow then sprinted but it didn’t seem like a super fast winning time

you don't think she could be great due to not running fast in college? she ran 15:15 a couple years ago in a season opener. that's enough to prove she could still be good
Proof of the effectiveness of "baby doping"?
15:15 first time out with BTC says that she's recovering from surgery and will do much better after a healthy season.

Although I dislike you because of your relentless trolling, this time I agree with you. Lots of armchair critics who can’t run fast enough not even to reach the toilet on time.
