The directing, bad acting (don't care legends were in it- bad acting), Pacino's unconvincing overacting, the wasted segments. Michael Franzese (real life mobster) said the movie was not accurate on who killed who. We walked out 1:45 through (3:30 long movie).
The Irishman movie = HORRIBLE

Is it actually in a theater somewhere, or did you get up out of your living room and walk out?

It's in a few theatres. If you Google "The Irishman near me", it will give you a theatre- if one near you is playing it. -
Like wow dude, you are like, really controversial and stuff.

Loved it. 🍀

To be fair, a couple friends did too. -
Bump this hard. I got through about an hour of it. It sounded like a great idea: Martin Scorcezi (sp?) directing, and all your favorite mob movie actors of the era. But it’s just drawn out and kind of boring. If you really like smooth talking mafia guys and the occasional gunshot, I guess it’s a fine movie.

I agree. It was so over-hyped and I hated it. I'm a big fan of mob movies and most of the cast. The facial de-aging looked horrible on my brand new TV. I'm no editor and I could have cut 60 minutes out of that death march. I could go on an on with what's wrong with that movie. It was like watching paint dry on the deck of the Titanic.
Terrible music.
Pesci was NOT great.
Confusing introduction of new characters - no exposition when needed. Who's THAT new guy and why do I have to guess why he is important?
Confusing jumps in time - you keep altering the actor's age in an incomprehensible fashion, so I'm supposed to now guess what year it is as well?
That opening driving scene -- Jesus, when is something going to happen-- next year? 5 minutes of that was too long, and you put in 25 minutes?
Thankfully I have forgotten the other 5 things that drove me to fast forward the last HOUR of that thing, just so I could see if there was EVER a payoff. No such luck. My wife just passed out about halfway through, and she was the lucky one. -
I loved it, though it clearly took liberties with the truth (what else should be expect? It’s a movie). I thought the portrayal of the Irishman’s final years, terribly alone, keeping faith with the band of criminals and killers who defined his life, was incredibly well done.

More of a film than a movie. If you were expecting a movie or that is all you like to watch you won’t like it.

More of a film than a movie? Huh? That's like saying it was more of a competition than a race. -
It is like every other mob movie ever made. How many different ways do we need to see people murdered?
-
I thought it was okay, but am glad that I was able to watch it over 2-3 days instead of in one sitting.

Totally correct. This one was not for the low brows. -
I felt the same way about the lion king. Lions can't talk, and if they did they wouldn't sound like big name actors. Then the coup was horrible. And where is the lion parliament? Terrible movie, terrible, bad, terrible.

I watched it over a couple few days. It was time wasted waiting for something interesting. Seen one mob movie with these actors, you’ve seen them all.

I liked it well enough, but it bugged me that really old guys were playing themselves as young men.

Maybe but then you have movies like Love and Mercy where the actor playing the younger Brian Wilson looks NOTHING like the actor playing the older Brian Wilson. -
You don't have to watch the Oscar nominated movies. Most of them suck. I learned in 2002.

I didn't see Love and Mercy but the movies where they make up the young guy to look old, work for me. The reverse doesn't work. DiNero was suppose to be 30 or so in the early flashback scenes, but he looked about 65.
