I got it through unidays. Registered with my university email address.
Oh good. Another shoe for Wildhorse to get their panties in a bunch about anD create 15 threads a week about how “illegal” it is.
I can’t wait.
Also, good on Addidas for trying to remain relevant outside of fashion sneakers and yeezys. An attempt was made. So cute of them.
Vaporfly killer or not, these shoes look sick!!! I always race in the Adios 4s and they are the BOMB. definitely going to check these out
This silly shoe has Nick Roche’s damp ineffectual fingerprints all over it. Such a shame he and adi’s development crew ignored their own lab’s research about a plate closer to the foot being less advantageous than further away.
Even Brooks’ “dead on arrival” racer will be better than this while Saucony and NB will wipe the floor with it. And Vapor will be Vapor.
Sorry Adi. You brought a spork to a nuke fight.

you haven't tried ANY of these prototypes and you're sure that they won't work?
Plus, I'm pretty sure that this "carbitex" plate is nothing more than a midfoot shank. they said "Having been a feature of adidas shoes since the 1980’s, the newly-commissioned CARBITEX plate delivers flexibility at touchdown and a snappy toe-off for maximum propulsion and an economically guided stride."
so the plate won't be rigid basically, it will be flexible. we all saw the video of somebody flexing this shoe in about all directions, and I don't think that was a fake video.

This isn't their answer to the Vaporfly. That shoe was worn by athletes at Houston and it is completely different. This is a normal racer.

Cool! Thanks!
There is no way that Rhonex Kipruto wasn't running in these.

He was in the Sens. I have a pair. These have a thicker midsole. Clear as day.
I guess the news page was written some time ago. Keitany is not the marathon world record holder anymore and this is not the first running shoe featuring the Lightstrike midsole because the Adios 5 is available already. I also don't like that they don't say how much it weighs.
"First debuted on the NXTLVL Basketball shoe in 2018, LIGHTSTRIKE combines energy return and stability into one of the lightest TPU foams on the market for a ride that runners will appreciate across the full distance."
Lightstrike is TPU? Everyone's been saying it's EVA. Maybe the SL20 will be worth a look. If it really is TPU, it could be like the Reebok FFE.

It looks like all articles/information I can find prior to this adizero Pro announcement say that Lightstrike is EVA. Now it looks like all articles reporting on this adizero Pro anouncement are saying Lightstrike is TPU.
yawn
Adidas finally caught up to the 2015-2016 Nike early prototype that Rupp and Flanagan wore, maybe, likely not even because the plate looks rather flat which means low performance and ankle ache
who is going to spend $200+ on that when the VF will probably finally get discounted by the time it's on the market in volume after the Olympics
They are also debuting the new Takumi Sen with a Lightstrike midosle

And available in the US
You had one job, Adidas.
These are Adidas’ real VF killer:

Stack height is, I would guess, over 40mm, so that one will probably not be legal. Boing boing!
It’s showing the wrong picture. You have to click on the article to see the actual super tall prototype worn at Houston.
