Background : 27 M, ~165 lbs, been training seriously since last August, I've ran three marathons in 3:33, 3:21 seven weeks later, and 3:22 two weeks after that (Kawauchi is my hero and I wanted to emulate him last month haha)
Training has been going well and I usually hover around 70-80 mpw. I also never take a day off and I find that this works for me. Lots of running at very easy pace. Before the 3:33 I ran in Richmond I really didn't do much speedwork but I have started incorporating it recently with good results and I always enjoy going to the track.
Last weekend I decided to do back to back tuneups and I ran the 5k on Saturday and the 10k on Sunday. I also ran 10 miles which included 3 X 1600 repeats on Friday, i.e. the day before both races, so these results reflect absolutely zero taper/rest/fresh legs.
Ran the half today and placed 4th overall, 1st in AG. Am I ready to go sub 3 at Atlanta in 4 weeks??Anything in particular I should do in the last week of training to get ready?
