Any chance his teammate paces him in that 3200? Can he run an even 4:15 mile?
Unfortunately there is nobody at all that can get him further than the mile.
weight lifting..?! lololol What weight training is going to clean up this kids movement patterning..?! Please reveal ...

He definitely spends no time in the weight room or with the sprint coach.
I mean 99% of HS runners aren't working with sprint coach. And a good amount don't spend much time in the weight room
He is not in the lower 99% tier, he is borderline pro level. Adding in some pro-level adjuncts would pay off big time. Just hammering harder is bound to lead to problems, and he is not injury-proof.
Good guess yes. Iowa state.

This is still the greatest run ever by a high school track and field athlete:

Not to discount Webb, but to me this is incredible, on a cinder track and high school only competition:

No did. Not really near the 7:54 - 7:56.0 prediction.
You seem rather sad.

I think Aschbrenner may have just had a bad race at Millrose, he ran 14:53 at Woodward and was running 9:0x last track season so I can’t believe he doesn’t have 4:12-4:15 in him at the very least.

I did the conversion myself; Hunter’s flat 3000m converts to 7:53.818 on a banked 200m.
That sounds accurate since there is more rotational torque when the track is banked, meaning he'll turn the curves faster.
There is no such thing as rotational torque. Torque is, by definition, a force that causes something to rotate.

He should get a trophy for the fastest kid to break 8 min with horrible stride. Nicos stride is horrible and he is all over the place, if Bronson knew how to coach Nico would have ran 7:50 with good form, kids weak.
What?nicos lower half is perfect, it’s just his arms that are carried to high but his leg stride it perfect, he doesn’t heel strike at all. Obviously Brosnan knows how to coach

He doesn't have much basic speed. Clearly a 10K-Mar type. Will likely do very well at CU in XC.
Track PRs each season, though keep in mind he rarely races the 800/1600
Woodward Park 5k --- 800/1600/3200
Fr - 16:28 --- 2:14/4:34/9:30
So - 15:33 --- 2:07/4:28/9:28/
Jr. - 15:35 --- NT/4:24/9:05
Sr. - 14:53 --- NT/4:17*/NT
4:17* is converted to 1600 assuming he ran a 4:18.85 mile (splits/results on millrose site are all over the place)
nico young should start carrying his arms like koko just to annoy you all.

He is built about the same.

Some more core strength might means he doesn't seek stability from flapping the arms all around. Nobody is talking about having the kid out his bench or doing bicep curls
Has working out with the sprint coaches really ever helped a distance guy?

If any one actually watch his workout video of 1600’s and 800’s people would know that he doesn’t run like that when he is in control. After 3 laps into that 3000 he was hanging on for dear life. That was the form of someone going full throttle and praying not to die.

Actually there is such a thing...it's just redundant
If Nico went to BTC out of high school it wouldn't be the worst thing

It's really killing him, setting all these records.
I watched the workout video, even though his arms lay across his body, all movements with arms/shoulders and legs are strictly forward and backwards in a single plane, very efficient, powerful stride with great balance and no wasted side to side motion.

I think koko's hips are a bit wider, but I totally agree. could they be related? is nico part german?

As Frank Shorter used to say, "A vertical hyphen".
