It looks like the Live Tracking Map made it seem like Llano and Chelanga were a lot closer than they actually were.
LLano chased down and overtook Chelanga, per the Live Tracking?

How will Gault and Rojo begin to undermine Rupp's performance?

I stand by my statement. Galen is lucky to run 62 on a fast course and 61:18 on a DOWNHILL course. Hello......
Clearly a troll, but I’ll reply anyways since it nicely fits in with the theme of my post.
For reference - Matt Llano ran 61:58 in Houston and 62:04 today. Sam Chelanga ran 61:52 in Houston and 62:28 today. Both athletes are prepping for the trials and are likely more fit now than they were previously.
Further, over the final 10k Rupp put 40+ seconds on Llano and over a minute in Chelanga. Over the entire 13.1 miles in Houston, the top Americans only put 15-20 seconds on these two men. Rupp is ready, folks.
Does letsrun have a boots-on-the-ground journalist at this morning's half tune-up prep for the Atlanta Trials?

They already started before the race was finished. Wanting pictures of the shoes who ran the race not rupp

Because the shoe technology has been sensationalized over the past several months.

LOL. Did you come out from under a rock and just show up on the internet today? I said "sensationalized"...and if you think because it is mostly marketing spin, you can put the word "over" in front of "sensationalized".

No. It appeared to show Rupp about 5-7 seconds ahead of Chelanga and Llano about the same gap behind Chelanga. I watched about the last two miles. For those who have no idea what I am talking about the race website let you watch little squares with the athlete's initials chasing each other on a map of the course.

Yes Ackley, and if you go back through this thread, you will see I posted links to video gifs of the tracker.

sorry i do work on a drilling rig in north dakota but i'm on break now...so it sounds like from what you're saying that LetsRun thinks there's a problem with these shoes when there really isn't
Huh? For someone that has been out-of-the-loop away on a drilling rig, you sure came up with a lot of speculation as to purposes of wanting to know what shoes he was wearing, along with your coming to a conclusion "there really isn't (a problem)". Maybe letsrun is just genuinely curious, without drawing any conclusion one way or another as to whether they think there is a problem.
Wearing standard green next%
Runners tend to get 'particular' about things, like shoes, etc. So naturally, with all of the shoe hoopla over the past several months, people are going to wonder things like whether Rupp is running in shoes today that he will be seen in later in Atlanta.
As a local runner, the weather was absolutely perfect this morning. Mid 40s and no wind which made for a fast day. The half does overtake the 10K and there was a ton of weaving in and out the last 4-5 miles. That had to of affected them a little bit.
