4 years suspension for testing positive for testosterone in Ethiopia november 2019.
Robel has admitted that he has got an injection there with an unknown substance.
The suspension could still be appealed, but it is very unlikely that he would walk free from this.

But athletes like Fsiha prove that East Africans have the natural born 'runner genes'.
LOL!
But that's interesting if he was actually tested in Ethiopia? That would really represent a breakthrough trend given the other two recent busts there. Looks like the Epiopian's days are numbered.
I'm surprised this case isn't getting more attention here (or maybe I should be unsurprised).
There are two really disturbing things about his case (aside from further proof that the success of East Africans in European distance running as 'assimilated' athletes is as much due to doping as East African success in general).
Firstly, this case came to light within 48 hours of the tragic death of Ethiopian runner Abadi Hadis at 22 from a 'mysterious illness'.
Both athletes were managed by Juan Pineda, who many think is a front for Jama Aden.
Secondly, apparently he trained with Bekele last year.

His club appear to think he is as guilty as sin, and are not going to help him in any appeal.

Nice. I wish "we" would stop defending our cheaters too.
Also fun: like others cheats before him, Fsiha couldn't even remember his own lies:
Speaking to the Expressen, Fsiha had said he had "just ate a medicine tablet for colds", but the Swedish Anti-Doping Board said he contradicted that excuse.
Thimfors added: "He had gotten himself a syringe and he didn't know what it contained."
You do realise that the AIU who are getting all these recent busts of athletes from all over the world can and do target any athlete. This is not dependent on the Ethiopian authorities. The AIU target individuals, the country is irrelevant.
I know you believe there is some carte blanche for Africans to dope but that isn't true. All the recent busts should show you that. There is less money to be able to fund strong anti-doping agencies in countries like Ethiopia. Even UKADA is woefully underfunded.
Also I don't know why you are calling a death 'tragic' whilst implying it is doping related. You advocated killing dopers in another thread.

Any young death is tragic.
But our Coevett, while expressing concern for young African athletes, also advocated demolishing the villages of dopers, and putting fans who watch them in prison, comparing it to watching illegal porn.
Which village is Fsiha from? Stockholm?
Who watched the European Cross Country?
I'm going to regret this, but ...
I think no one is making arguments for East African level genetic excellence for the athlete running 29:00 10K, 61:00 half-marathons, and winning European Cross Country.
Nor do you see many arguments that testosterone is the powerful drug explaining the fastest East African endurance performances.
For those who think that testing is lax in East Africa, this only applies to out of competition blood testing, with strong requirements to get it to a WADA lab within a short timeframe.
Fsiha was busted for testosterone, which is detectable in urine tests.
Regarding the two disturbing things, it looks more like your imagination gone wild:
- the link to the tragic death to Ethiopian runner Abadi Hadis looks tenuous and desperate
- the link to his death and doping looks tenuous
- as does a runner who went to Addis Ababa training camp going on a group training run with Bekele
Also, do "many" think Juan Pineda is a "front" for Jama Aden? What does that even mean?
That's impossible...Canova said drugs don't help Africans.
