No-one is doubting that Kipchoge would probably still be the goat without the Vaporfly.
He'd probably be a little less consistent, and I think he could have been beaten by Guye Adola at Berlin. Perhaps having the Vaporfly in training also helped, and he had increased recovery between marathons. But even then, he is the GOAT, shoe or not.
That's not the issue at hand though.
