That time kind of has to sting..less than one second from being 3rd Fastest.
Holy crap, Sandi Morris! 16 1/2 pole vault!
Very Impressive 3000 by Alli Ostrander.
Ditto to the women's 3000. 9 runners under 9 minutes.
Alli MF Ostrander FTW!
these commentators ARE GARBAGE
how are you gonna not notice igbokwe pulling up 100m in?
Nico Young is ahead of pace..
Nico looks like crap
I think he ran at or close to what he was shooting for. The field is just FAST.

High School Record, misses the American Junior Record
Nico did it!!
It's all relative. For high school record purposes, he is rockin' it. It is weird to see him in the back, though. Probably weird for him too.
Shot put on the sprint track won't damage it?
This is where running in a faster pro field clearly helped. He was able to draft.
The announcers didn't even mention Nico until the last few minutes of the race. Dumb.

I think he knew he would be hanging on for dear life given the field. He stayed in last the entire race on purpose, and like the above-poster said, he paced perfectly.
Great run by Klecker today. He may well be the favorite for some 3000/5000 titles this indoor/outdoor season.
Only 17 also, he's got time for more u-20 records
