Yawn. We don't need to hear about every routine workout.
Wait until you see tomorrow's workout and the one the day after that.
Workout warrior.
Let him run 2:08 in Atlanta for the victory and THEN we will care about him. Until then we don't care about his workouts.

We don't but we do, thanks to the Walmsley fanboys.
Wish he would stop shoving his lifestyle down my throat
About 15 Americans at Houston ran 21 x 1k with zero seconds rest in a 2:56 average. And then you've got Rupp and Korir who can destroy that, and another 10 guys that weren't at Houston that can do that. So Walmsley might be sitting at 25-30th rank for Olympic Trials.

Good thing we’re running the marathon at the trials.
I know this is a great workout, but I dont think it is out of this world for top notch marathoners.
My coach ran in the 80s and 90s, his PRs were 1:02 for the half and 2:13 for the marathon and he has told me a few times of a workout he did, 20 x 1k all at around 2:55 with 50 seconds break.
I do not see Walmsley running under 2:12, however, I do hope I wrong as I like the guy.
Geoffrey Kamworor ran 21 times 1 km in 2:45 with no rest in between.

My prediction is Mid 2:11-2:12 for the trials. Probably top 10 with a remote shot at qualifying if a few people have bad days. I think he could potentially crack 2:10 on a flat course.

Mid 2:11 at these trials on this course will be 3rd or 4th.

Not in the middle of a 238 mile week.

I would imagine the altitude is the impressive part of this workout....right?

It was done at 3000 feet, so the altitude is negligible. Maybe 1 second per mile or so.
Is Jim Sponsored by Nike? No. So he's giving a minute headstart before the race even begins. Put Rupp in a pair of Hokas and Jim would smoke him.
Weak. The 5 x 18 workout is what JW needs to do.

Be stronger than the anger within that causes your brain to say this.
When the angry thoughts hit your brain you should be going to your happy place like in Happy Gilmore.

They like him.
You don't.
That doesn't give you a right to be sarcastic about it.
