No way
I wish they would tell us how much they make. I knew about one runner's contract.
They signed out of college about 11-12 years ago.
I knew the family.
It was 50K base salary plus bonuses.
This individual has gone on to set American Records and run in Olympics and Worlds.
Was a top prospect out of college.
they should be more open. We know everything about other sports pay. Maybe it is so low compared to the major sports that the companies dont want it public?
No you don't. These are sponsorships, not team contracts. You know how much Craig Engels makes at the diamond league but not from Nike. You know how much Aaron Rodgers makes from the NFL, not from State Farm.
Friend who knows him said he get equipment , plus a $1700 a month training strip end plus bonuses .
Once Nike determines your not a good investment like Kara , your value goes way down.

When he first signed with Nike it was about this level, around $20k a year in 2012, he signed right after setting the indoor 600 american record at Millrose, at the time he had a 1:45.9 outdoor 800 PR. I imagine it went up a bit as he made a couple world teams the next few years and ran a couple of 1:44's.
So if it is $1700 a month now, then he's back to the level of his original Nike contract. Way better than $0 a month, so good for him to keep it going a bit more. Sucks in 2016 that he faded to 4th at the trials and Charles Jock ended up qualifying. Erik had a better overall season, but Jock had a better race that day. I can only imagine the extra money that would've come with the 'olympian' title to his name.
Sorry, early 2013* is when he signed with Nike the first time
Similar to his original Nike Contract wrote:
