I know they're meant mostly for races, thin outsole keeps the weight down, yada, yada, yada. I just hate this trend of expensive shoes designed for less than 100-200 miles. So you wear them for some test long runs and one or two races, and goodbye?

My inclination is that the durability will be worse than on the Razor 3. Derek (in the review below) was already noticing some wear on his prematurely. I would say my wear was expected (some shaving of the midsole where the rubber isn't) but I also did about half of my miles on a treadmill.

Don't know. Better than nothing, I suppose...

I wear a 9.5 in razor and most skechers. Sized up to the 10 and they were too large. I'm not confident enough that the 9 will fit. I swear by Skechers and this is very disheartening as I prep for Boston. I've never run Nike, but since I was dead set on a marathon racer, I have to give vaporfly next a try.

Why don't you race in your Razors? They're nearly as light and a little more cushioned.

I'm a bit bummed to see that Sketchers doesn't have a size 12.5 in many of their shoes, like the GORun Razor 3 that was just mentioned. Would y'all say to go a size up or down? I don't have a specialty running store around me that carries them.

Razor 3 is more than adequate for a marathon racer.

You're speaking specifically to the Razor 3? Impossible to say "go up" or "go down" in Skechers these days... too many variables across their lineup.

I'm a little surprised nobody else seems to have calf issues in these. The plate makes me land a little higher up on my forefoot than I usually do. Killing my calves. Gonna have to stop using them. Felt great out of the box and extremely light.

Or you could ease into using them. How much drop do your usual shoes have?

I find the drop doesn't matter for me as much as the shape of the shoe. Some just hit me wrong. Was just curious that I appear to be the only one with this issue.
