Cameron Miller ran 7.97 in the 60m yesterday. Did he sustain an injury in that race?
BTW: the fastest Freshman this season over 200m is Langston Jackson from Kentucky (20.72). He also ran a 6.61, which also makes him the fastest freshman at that distance this year.

20.9 isn't anything to get excited about. Pretty good start for 1st indoor 200 but not even the fastest freshman in that meet. Let me know when he runs 20.2
Where would 20.2 put him on the all time world indoor list? WR is "only" 19.92.

Jackson is undefeated in the 200m this year (in 4 meets). He only sustained one loss in the 60m.
Note that he has tied the Kentucky school record in the 200m and sits third in their all time list at 60m.
Kentucky has won the sprinter lottery this year.
Are any of Jackson's races online free? links? Thank you
20.9 is a solid indoor mark. Do not think the indoor ovals are ideal for him, but anything he does in the 60/200 that is competitive this year is a good sign for outdoor, where I think we’ll see the type of times we expect.
he is a 400 guy
Its early in the season, you have no idea what he is targeting, but he will be a 44 flat guy in 2 years.
Whether its going to be good enough is the other question. Unless he finds coaching for the first 40
Boling has a lot of haters and people who have unrealistic expectations for him. He did receive a lot of hype in high school and deservedly so. He is performing well as a freshman and needs to ignore the undeserved criticism. I hope he does well.
Also missed 60m final finishing 9th in prelims with 6.76
Georgia doesn't have a tremendous recent history in the men's sprints. They have been more of a multis/field events program, so FSU, LSU, USC, and Houston, all great sprint programs, are a few programs that might have been better suited for him, but remember that indoor 200s are going to be slower than outdoors.
20.9 is not good at all. If he's not in the most strenuous phase of his training than it's not good for him.
20.4 - 20.5 is a time to get excited about.

Whoa buddy, take it easy with your measured and reasonable positivity.

I assume you are joking!
20.9 for season opener is a pretty decent for anyone at any level and 20.2 would probably make him the number one in the world. Btw, unless you are experienced at running indoor 200s, it takes most sprinters a couple times to get the hang of it.
I mean 20.9 isn't anything great considering hes gone 20.5, 10.1. 20.9 is hardly newsworthy for someone that fast.
couple of things....
1. The PRs you listed are his outdoor PRs. It's currently February 3rd and he was 0.4 off his PR for 200m
2. not being the fastest freshman at a big meet does not equate to "isn't anything great"
We'll give you another chance to support your claim that this was not a great time.

Very Good but not great.
At least he's trying. A for effort.

Try to be nicer to him.
At least he's showing up to the track and putting in a good effort.
He could be sitting home all day and drinking 24 beers in 24 hours.
So he gets an A for effort.
He should of went Pro when the iron was hot after HS. He had the whole great white hope thing going for him, white lightening, and the 9.9 that was heavily wind aided but the average person didn't care or didn't even know what that meant.
Now he's just one of many guys in the grueling world of college track.
Better get to long jumping.

Try to be nicer and not call him white.
Use colors that are more representative.
So instead of white lightning you should have said " pink lightning"...
Be stronger than hate.
Be stronger than anger.

If he was a complete moron and wanted to lose his scholarship then he would be " sitting home all day and drinking 24 beers in 24 hours. ". 20.9 is not a good time and that's that.
